How It Works
- Sophisticated Investors must qualify at a minimum investment level of $150,000 per person/couple for the bond subscription.
- Participants should be residents of either British Columbia or Alberta. Interested parties from other jurisdictions will require special consideration to ensure compliance with their local securities legislation.
- Investors will have the opportunity to enter into a real estate purchase contract subject to availability should they wish to redeem the bond upon maturity and assign the proceeds against the purchase of a Residence or Vacation Hotel Suite in the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
- Security is provided in the form of a 1st mortgage on the land and improvements on the site of the new Oak Bay Beach Hotel at 1175 Beach Drive, Victoria BC.
- To receive a full Bond Offering document package, an investor is required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, submit a refundable $5,000 deposit and complete an investment application.
- Invested funds will earn simple interest at an agreed upon rate accruing to the balance on the date of redemption.
- 100% of the funds invested through the Bond Subscription will be administered by Deloitte & Touche, Vancouver, British Columbia.
- All legal documentation has been prepared by Fasken Martineau Dumoulin one of Canada’s leading legal firms for security offerings.
- Draw requests will only be approved by the fund administrator when they reflect expenditures against the approved project budget.
- Additionally Investors will qualify to be an Oak Bay Beach Hotel Founders Club Member and will receive:
A credit (equal to 5% of the value of the investment) towards hospitality and services in the new Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
Recognition in the form of a plaque mounted in the Clock Tower acknowledging participation in this unique approach to re-building the world renowned facility.
Invitations to private hard hat tours of the new hotel facility as it is constructed.
Invitations to all VIP events surrounding the celebration of the opening of the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
